Weave Community Guidelines

Weave is a platform designed to cultivate meaningful relationships through both digital and real-world interactions. In order to foster a safe, inclusive, and respectful community, we hold our members accountable for their behavior—both online and in-person. Our guidelines ensure that Weave remains a supportive environment for creating real, genuine connections.

The following guidelines outline what is and isn't acceptable conduct on Weave. Violations may result in actions against your account.

Profile Guidelines

  • Age: You must be at least 18 years old to join Weave. Falsely representing your age will result in account removal. We reserve the right to request identification to verify your age.
  • Profile Photos: Weave only allows authentic and clear profile pictures that represent who you are. Photo verification is a must. At least one photo must show your full face. We do not allow:
    • Blurred, heavily filtered, or distorted photos that make it hard to identify you
    • Profile photos with overlaid text, stickers, or third-party symbols
    • Photos of children without an accompanying adult
    • Photos showing nudity or sexually explicit content
  • Username: Your username should be a representation of your real name, nickname, or preferred identifier. We do not allow usernames with offensive language, impersonations, or symbols.

Content and Conduct Guidelines

Digital and Physical Interactions

  • Respect in Real Life: Weave is about translating digital connections into real-world experiences. Respectful, kind, and considerate behavior is expected both online and in-person. Any form of harassment, intimidation, or inappropriate behavior during meetups organized through Weave is strictly prohibited.
  • Shared Experiences: Our platform encourages creating shared experiences in physical spaces. We expect all users to behave responsibly when attending events or group activities facilitated through Weave. This includes respecting the personal space, beliefs, and boundaries of others.

Bullying, Harassment, and Abusive Conduct

  • Kind Connections Only: We do not tolerate bullying, harassment, or any kind of abusive behavior. This includes both digital harassment (such as through messaging) and real-life intimidation. Unwanted or repeated contact is also not allowed.

Inappropriate Content and Nudity

  • No Explicit Content: Weave is about building meaningful, respectful connections. Nudity, sexually explicit content, or any form of vulgarity in your profile or during interactions is strictly forbidden.

Scamming and Fraud

  • Genuine Intentions: Any attempt to defraud, deceive, or scam members, whether online or in-person, will result in immediate removal from the platform. Misrepresentation of intentions, financial manipulation, or fake events is prohibited.

Inappropriate Use of Events and Groups

  • Event and Group Integrity: Weave allows users to create or participate in group activities. These experiences are meant to foster positive and respectful interactions. Misusing events for unrelated purposes or creating fake events to deceive or exploit others will not be tolerated.

Community Standards for Interaction

Consent and Boundaries

  • Respecting Boundaries: Consent is key to meaningful connections. You must respect other members' personal and emotional boundaries, whether in a conversation or during a real-life meetup. This includes not pressuring anyone into unwanted activities or discussions.

Inappropriate Behavior in Public Spaces

  • Conduct at Events: If you attend events or meetups facilitated through Weave, you are expected to act with courtesy and integrity. This includes following all venue rules, avoiding disruptive behavior, and being respectful toward fellow attendees.

Hate Speech and Discrimination

  • Inclusive Community: Weave is a platform where everyone should feel safe and welcome. We do not tolerate hate speech, discrimination, or bigotry based on race, gender identity, sexual orientation, religion, or nationality—whether online or in person. We encourage diversity and mutual respect in all interactions.

Real-World Safety and Conduct

Physical and Emotional Safety

  • Safety First: If you arrange in-person meetups or group activities, always prioritize safety. We encourage meeting in public places and informing a trusted contact about your plans. Any behavior that threatens someone's physical or emotional safety will lead to severe consequences.
  • Zero Tolerance for Violence: Weave has a strict zero-tolerance policy for any form of physical violence, including stalking, threats, or abuse. Whether the incident occurs online or offline, members involved in such behavior will be permanently banned from Weave.

Responsible Event Hosting

  • Host Accountability: Members who create or host events through Weave must take responsibility for the experience they offer. This includes providing accurate information about the event, managing group dynamics, and ensuring that all participants feel safe and included.

Platform Integrity

Authentic Profiles

  • Be Yourself: Weave celebrates authenticity. Any form of impersonation, catfishing, or misrepresentation of who you are will result in removal from the platform. Be honest about your identity, intentions, and experiences.

Platform Manipulation

  • Genuine Interactions: Weave aims to create real, meaningful connections. Any attempts to manipulate or game the platform's algorithms, such as creating fake profiles or using scripts to automate interactions, are strictly prohibited.

Safety Reporting

At Weave, we take safety seriously. We employ a combination of human moderation and automated tools to keep our platform safe. If you feel uncomfortable or unsafe due to a member's behavior, please use our in-app tools to report or block them. We also encourage you to report incidents of inappropriate or unsafe behavior during real-world interactions.

Enforcement and Accountability

If you violate these guidelines, we may take the following actions:

  • Issue warnings
  • Temporarily suspend or permanently ban your account
  • Remove content or events you've posted
  • Cooperate with law enforcement in case of criminal behavior

Weave's goal is to foster real connections, and we expect all members to contribute positively to this community. Let's work together to build a respectful, safe, and enjoyable environment both online and in the real world.

If you have any questions or feedback, don't hesitate to reach out to our support team.

This version of the guidelines is more tailored to Weave's unique goal of facilitating real-world interactions based on digital connections, placing special emphasis on behavior both in virtual and physical spaces.

Weave Child Safety & CSAE (Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation) Policy

At Weave, user safety — especially child protection — is of paramount importance. While our app is designed for adults seeking genuine, real-world social experiences, we are fully committed to upholding the highest standards of safety, responsibility, and legal compliance.

This document outlines our published standards against Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation (CSAE).

1. Our Standards Against CSAE

Weave has a zero-tolerance policy towards content, behavior, or users that:

  • Involve, depict, promote, or normalize child sexual abuse or exploitation.
  • Attempt to contact or solicit minors for any inappropriate purposes.
  • Share, transmit, or encourage the distribution of Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM).
  • Use deceptive identity to target vulnerable individuals under the guise of social interaction.

We do not allow users below the age of 18 to create an account. Strict onboarding flows, including photo verification, age capture, and profile moderation, are designed to identify and eliminate fake or inappropriate profiles at the source.

2. In-App Feedback & Reporting Mechanism

To help maintain a safe and respectful community:

  • Post-Event Feedback: After every event or interaction, users can provide confidential feedback on other participants. This includes safety concerns or red flags.
  • Action Timeline: Reports are typically reviewed and responded to within 24–48 hours by our moderation team.

All reports are kept anonymous. Users will not know who flagged them.

3. Addressing CSAM (Child Sexual Abuse Material)

If any CSAM-related content is reported or detected:

  • It is immediately removed and user accounts are permanently banned.
  • We report the incident to:
    • Law enforcement agencies under India's POCSO Act and IT Act.
    • International agencies such as the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) where applicable.

We cooperate fully with legal authorities and do not tolerate any attempt to misuse the platform.

4. Compliance with Laws and Global Standards

Weave complies with:

  • Indian child safety laws, including:
    • The Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act
    • The Information Technology Act, 2000
  • International standards and recommendations regarding CSAE, digital safety, and user protection.

We also implement platform-level data encryption and moderation controls to detect and prevent illicit behavior.

5. Child Safety Contact Point

If you encounter any violation of our safety policies, suspect abusive content, or wish to report a child safety concern:

📧 Email:

Our Child Safety Officer will investigate every report with discretion and urgency.

6. Responsible Design & Access

  • Weave is designed for adults (18+) only.
  • We actively monitor behavior patterns, profile photos, and user feedback loops to flag unsafe or suspicious accounts.
  • No child-directed content or advertising is served through Weave.

7. Our Promise

Safety isn't just a feature — it's part of Weave's foundation. We are constantly evolving our protection mechanisms, educating users, and working with the broader ecosystem to keep our community safe, respectful, and real.
