Business Development Associate - Growth & Partnerships

Weave is building a new way for people to form real connections—by moving dating and social discovery from screens to the real world. Through curated events, group experiences, and a trust-based matching system powered by the Weave Score, we help people discover meaningful relationships and social experiences with intent and authenticity.

Role Overview

As a Business Development Associate at Weave, you will be the human bridge between our users and the product. You will engage with registered users via calls and conversations to understand their intent, guide them through Weave’s ecosystem, and drive adoption of premium plans, events, and experiences.

This role requires strong communication skills, empathy, product understanding, and the ability to build trust quickly. You will work closely with the product, growth, and operations teams to convert high-intent users, improve feedback loops, and scale revenue in a relationship-first way.

Key Objectives

  • Drive weekly and monthly revenue targets through high-quality user conversations and conversions.
  • Develop a deep understanding of Weave's offerings, including WeaveUs, WeaveMe, subscription plans, events, and the Weave Score.
  • Identify gaps in users' social and dating journeys and position Weave's premium features meaningfully.
  • Build long-term relationships with users through trust, clarity, and problem-solving.
  • Act as a feedback channel between users and internal teams to improve product and experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage with registered Weave users via phone calls to understand intent, help them in bookings and communicate with them regularly.
  • Convert high-intent users into paid subscribers (Explorer, Ignite) and event participants.
  • Explain Weave's core concepts clearly - group matching, event-based discovery, Weave Score, and one-on-one unlocking.
  • Maintain accurate records of conversations, outcomes, objections, and feedback.
  • Follow defined sales frameworks while adapting conversations naturally to each user.
  • Proactively inform users about events and premium benefits.
  • Share structured user insights with product and operations teams.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to resolve user queries, complaints, or edge cases.
  • Stay updated on trends in dating, social networking, and consumer behavior.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent (graduate preferred)
  • Prior experience in business development, inside sales, telesales, or customer success.
  • Strong verbal communication skills in English (additional languages are a plus).
  • Ability to build rapport quickly and handle objections calmly.
  • Familiarity with MS Office or Google Workspace.
